Midnight Requisition

I was walking along the waterfront the other day and saw that the Maritime Museum of San Diego is hosting a continuous reading of Moby Dick this weekend.  I am pretty sure the boat won't be floating at sea or searching for whales during the reading but nonetheless, it is such a cool idea and I'm hoping to check it out. 

I'm back to posting after a short break and a new family addition, a wonderful baby boy!  Please keep an eye out for more regular posts but in the meantime I'll leave you with a little Rundgren.

Last week I saw these little charmers tucked away on the third floor of LACMA's American Art building. I loved what Nevelson was doing with layering, color, and texture. These will stay with me for a long time.

I just hit my one year anniversary of living in California.  As a kid growing up in Phoenix, I always wanted to live in San Diego.  It seemed like a dream to be so close to the ocean. It's been quite a year and I'm very much looking forward to what this next year will bring our way.

Sometimes these fan videos are the worst but I kind of dig this particular montage with "The Ledge" by Fleetwood Mac.

I walk a lot in California.  There is so much to take in and quite a bit to find a long the way (and there are tons of MMA places everywhere!).  Here are a few photos from my travels although sadly, I did not find the guavas on a walk.
