thinking of nomadic life and all the drives to yakima i'll be doing over the next few years made andrea zittel's work come to mind this morning. she's great (plus her work reminds me of the american girl trunk i had for molly when i was a kid). a walk through zittel's andrea rosin 2009 show here.

I found this monarch the other day on one of our walks.  She seemed to be near the end of her days. She had a very slow flutter and seemed a bit confused.  She was beautiful nonetheless and let me pick her up with a piece of bark and move her to a better area away from the traffic.
